The Rotary Club of Burdwan Greater, RID 3240 organized a felicitation ceremony on 21st June 2026 at Ullash SHRRIYA HOTEL & BANQUET to honor Smt. Moumita Biswas Mishra, Hon’ble MLA of Purba Bardhaman. The program commenced with the Rotary invocation and a ceremonial welcome. Smt. Moumita Biswas Mishra was felicitated by the members of Rotary Club of Burdwan Greater . President highlighted the MLA’s leadership and commitment to social causes, while Smt. Mishra lauded Rotary’s ongoing projects and assured her support for future collaborations in youth empowerment and community welfare. Awareness on hepatitis B vaccine and HPV vaccine

The Rotary Club of Burdwan Greater, RID 3240 organized an awareness program on Hepatitis B and HPV vaccines on 20th June 2026 at Ullash. The session commenced with the Rotary invocation and welcome address by President , emphasizing the club’s focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Nasima Khondker, who educated the gathering on the causes, modes of transmission, and prevention of Hepatitis B and cervical cancer through timely vaccination. She discussed the safety and efficacy of both vaccines, addressed common myths, and stressed the importance of early immunization for long-term health. An interactive Q&A session followed, where participants cleared their doubts regarding vaccine schedules and side effects. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary , reaffirming the club’s commitment to preventive healthcare and community wellness.

The Rotary Club of Burdwan Greater, RID 3240 celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2026 at Paramananda Mission High School, Banagram, West Bengal. The event commenced with the Rotary invocation and welcome address by President , followed by an address emphasizing the importance of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being in alignment with Rotary’s focus on community health. Students, teachers, and members of the school staff, along with Rotarians and , participated enthusiastically in a guided yoga and pranayama session conducted by a certified yoga instructor. The session included Surya Namaskar, basic asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation, promoting awareness of holistic health and stress management among youth. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary , and the singing of the National Anthem, reaffirming the club’s commitment to “Service Above Self” through health and wellness initiatives .

Rotary Club of Burdwan Greater, RID 3240 organized a Free Health Check-up Camp on 3rd June 2026 at [Paramananda Mission High School] in association with [Dr. Monoj Mukherjee ]. The camp offered general health screening, and ENT check-up. President Rtn. [Monoj Mukherjee] and project Chair Rtn. Harshad Sheth inaugurated the camp. Approx [40] beneficiaries from the local community availed the service. The initiative reflected Rotary’s commitment to “Disease Prevention & Treatment” under Service Above Self.

Blood Donation Camp

All clubs of Zone 3, RID 3240 jointly organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp on 7th June 2026, including Rotary Club of Burdwan Greater. The camp was held at [Krish Marriage Hall] in association with [CAMRI Hospital]. Rotarians from all Zone 3 clubs, along with family members and community donors, participated enthusiastically. The camp was inaugurated by District/Zone leadership. A total of [30] units of blood were collected, supporting critical needs at local hospitals. The collective effort showcased the spirit of unity and “Service Above Self” across Zone 3.
